Nestled on 17 acres in Northwest Rochester, Cottagewood Senior Communities is dedicated to individuals with memory loss. When you step foot into our cottages you will realize that the Community has so much more to offer than a beautiful campus. You will immediately feel the warmth and friendliness from the staff and the cottage pet, as well as the sense of camaraderie among residents. Our secure cottages and courtyards are beautifully furnished and have all the comforts of home. Our expertly trained staff utilizes validation therapy, music therapy along with cues and reminders throughout the day to ensure our residents are successful. Our dedicated team is committed to the safety and well-being of our residents while maintaining their dignity and respect. From fun community events to a variety of wellness activities, Cottagewood is making a positive difference in the lives of our residents and their families! For over 24 years Cottagewood has truly been the leader for Memory Care in Southeastern Minnesota.

we had such a sweet visit during our Frosting & Cookies activity! 🍪💕
The kiddos from Kingdom Kids Preschool came to spend time with our residents, and it was truly heartwarming to watch the smiles, laughter, and connections being made. Together they decorated cookies with lots of frosting, sprinkles, and creativity!
Moments like these remind us how special it is to bring different generations together. The joy on both the children’s and residents’ faces said it all. Thank you to Kingdom Kids Preschool for coming to visit and brighten our day! We can’t wait for the next visit. 💛

We understand that the physical environment is one big contributor to overall well-being, so we have created varying levels of care within the community to better care for residents at every stage of memory loss.
Cottagewood offers private suite cottages for those who prefer less stimulation and a quieter atmosphere. These cozy cottages consist of 16-20 private rooms and shared common areas with a secure courtyard. This provides our residents a lot of space to roam and relax both inside and outside.
Residents will be encouraged to participate in meaningful activities throughout the day. Here at Cottagewood, we believe passive participation is just as beneficial as active participation. The cottages are staffed 24/7 by health care professionals who receive specialized dementia training in our unique programming and therapies.
Cottagewood offers companion living cottages for those residents who are wanting an active social life. These cozy cottages consist of 24-32 residents so there is always someone to visit and spend time with.
Residents will be offered and encouraged to participate in meaningful activities throughout the day. Here at Cottagewood, we believe passive participation is just as beneficial as active participation. These cottages are staffed 24/7 by health care professionals who receive specialized dementia training in our unique programming and therapies.
The Haven at Cottagewood is an enhanced memory care setting designed to meet the needs of individuals with behavioral challenges associated with dementia. This unique cottage is highly specialized with a structured, calming environment along with personalized dementia programming and therapies.
The Haven consists of 18 private bedrooms with ½ baths. The cottage is staffed 24/7 by health care professionals, low resident to staff ratios, secured entrances/courtyard access and environmental design.
